Level 1 Ski Instructor!
Yesterday Mackenzie just got her certification as a Level 1 Ski Instructor! She has been getting tested for the past few days. Today she is taking a ski course to get some credits toward the next level. It's a nice sunny day for skiing today. This is also our last day here in Fernie. Tomorrow we are going up to Kicking Horse Ski Resort which is about 4 hours away.

Fernie
We just found out that Mackenzie is picked to be an extra in a Liam Neeson movie called Hard Powder. They are filming the movie here in Fernie. She gets to be a skier in it and even gets paid two hundred dollars a day! It has been raining here, but apparently there was soft powder today at the top of the mountain. I haven't gone skiing for a little while cause I don't like skiing in the rain, but the rest of my family has gone out a few times. The boys also have made a potato pistol out of tubes and a barbeque sparker.

past few week in fernie
This is us on the mountain.

In this picture we are standing on the roof of the
car to get the snow off that was piling up on the trailer. This is my brother with his
potato cannon. The potato goes
across the parking lot.
Today, Mackenzie, Ben, Owen, and my mom went skiing today. The bottom part of the hills were slushy, but higher up the conditions were good.

Cranbrook
Two days ago, we went to Cranbrook to do the laundry and go swimming. We went swimming first, but the pool really sucked. The hot tub was pretty cold and the wave pool was closed, and we didn't stay there for long. Then we did the laundry. As we were driving back to Flow, we stopped at the Fernie mountain fountain, and filled up our water bottles with fresh mountain water. When we got back to Flow, our generator wouldn't work, so we didn't have heat that night. The next day we took Flow to the RV mechanics to see about fixing the generator. It is working now sort of, but we are waiting for some parts for it. It was raining yesterday. We did lots of school work.
it is also raining today.

it is also raining today.

Making sling shots in Fernie!
Today me and my brother made little sling shots made out of the top of a plastic bottle and a balloon.
When you shoot it you pull back on the
balloon with the bullet in it then let go and the
bullet should go flying.
When your done using it you an pack it down in the in side and then put
the cap on it is easy to put in your pocket and it dose not unravel when it is sealed
tight.

Fernie, BC
Today we went skiing for pretty much the whole day. Dad worked for most of the day. We also did some homework for a little while. My mom liked the Cedar Bowl because it was beautiful and she was learning to ski better in the powder. Owen and Megan
This is a picture of the Cedar Bowl that was taken at the top by Mackenzie.

Early skiing in Fernie
We went skiing today early in the morning because there was lots of powder on the hills. When we went I brought my Go Pro to take videos of us going down the hill. When we got there it didn't look like there was as much powder as we thought there would be, but the skiing was still really fun. We all stayed together today going down the same hills, I think that some of them just wanted to stay with me on the same hills so that they could get video taped by the Go Pro.

Fernie
Today we went skiing for most of the morning. We came back to the buss around 12:00 to eat but there wasn't really any food for to make a sandwich and i really didn't want any thing else so then me and dad went in to town also to get new goggles for me.We came back and dad and my brother went skiing again. They came back with a iPhone 6 that looked brand new that the found when they were skiing down a powdery black diamond. There was no password so they went on the persons phone and started to call one of their contacts to see if we could find the owner of it apparently they called a contact that was called "Honey bunch kins". That person told them who the phone belonged to and then dad and my brother gave it back to them. Later we went swimming in a public pool, but it wasn't as good as how my dad explained it.

Skiing Fernie in Powder
Yesterday, we did homework and my dad worked again.
Today, my mom woke me and Ben up at noon because we watched a movie called Arrival late last night. We all went skiing today because there was lots of powder. When we got up to the top of the hill, in some spots the powder was up to my dad's waist. When we were about half way down the hill, I saw a T-bar (this was the haulback T-bar that brought you back up into the main bowl) and I wanted to go on it. When we were going down the hill, my ski hit a pile of powder and I fell into a clump of powder and got stuck. When I finally got out, we went to the bottom. My dad got on the T-bar first and messed up and at the start he was holding on but then he pulled himself up and sat on it. When I got on, I messed up and it dragged me up the whole hill with me just hanging on with my arms. Today they were setting off explosions to trigger the avalanches so no one would get hurt. It was awesome skiing today.
